The Huawei MA5800 X2 is a next-generation Optical Line Terminal (OLT) with 40G capacity. Featuring 2 service slots, each with 200G throughput capacity, it enables smooth evolution to 40G/100G PON technology. With support for up to 8 times more MAC addresses and ARP table entries than the MA5608T, this platform simplifies service configuration and expansion.

• 4K/8K/VR video experience: Single-frame MA5800 supports 16,000 homes with ultra-high-definition 4K/8K/VR video streaming. Features distributed cache with larger cache and video burst absorption capability for quick video startup and channel switching. VMOS/eMDI video surveillance enables intelligent sensing and troubleshooting.
• Multi-service virtualization common platform: Advanced intelligence and virtualization capabilities allow logical fragmentation of devices and network resources. Virtualizes one OLT into multiple OLTs for different services (home, enterprise, IoT), enabling multi-service intelligent operations, reduced operating costs, and support for network open and wholesale models.
